The JRB No.1 (Teeta Creek Main North) occurrence is located on the north side Teeta Creek, at an elevation of approximately 460 metres.

The area is underlain by andesitic to rhyodacitic lava, tuff and breccia of the Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group. The Bonanza Group volcanics have been intruded by granodiorite stocks of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite.

Locally, diorite, quartz diorite and quartz feldspar porphyry hosts disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite, molybdenite and chalcopyrite mineralization over an approximate 300 by 1000 metre area. Marginal to the copper-molybdenum porphyry mineralized zone, silicified (± advanced argillic-altered) intrusive rocks and hydrothermal breccia are cut by quartz-pyrite-stibnite-arsenopyrite veins.

In 1989, grab sampling of the zone assayed 0.156 gram per tonne gold over 30 metres (Assessment Report 19531). No assays for other elements were performed.

In 2016, 18 samples from the occurrence area (Upper Road and Lower Road zones) yielded from 0.067 to 0.473 per copper with an average of approximately 0.2 per cent copper and trace to 0.031 per cent molybdenum with an average of 0.009 per cent molybdenum, whereas two samples (M456739 and M456740) of marginal quartz-pyrite-stibnite-arsenopyrite veins, taken several hundred metres to the east-northeast of the previous samples, assayed 0.434 and 1.950 grams per tonne gold, respectively (Assessment Report 36483).

In 2019, 14 rock samples from the occurrence area (Upper Road and Lower Road zones) yielded from 0.057 to 0.335 per cent copper and trace to 0.010 per cent molybdenum, whereas a sample (S850606) from a clay-altered shear zone with minor quartz veining, located marginal to the copper-molybdenum porphyry mineralization and several hundred meters east-northeast of the previous samples, assayed 21.1 grams per tonne gold and 15.0 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 38407).

Work History

In 1975 and 1976, Cities Services completed a diamond drill program consisting of six holes totalling 2017 metres. In 1984, Teriton Resources completed a program of soil sampling, geological mapping and ground geophysical surveys on the area. In 1987, Esso Resources completed a program of rock, silt and soil sampling on the area as the Teeta 1 claim. In 1989 and 1991, J.R. Billingsley prospected the area as the JRB 1-3 claims. In 1993, Great Western Gold completed a program of geochemical sampling and ground geophysical surveys on the area. In 2013, J.R. Billingsley completed a program of geological mapping and structural analysis on the area as the Quatsino King property. In 2016, Seven Devils Exploration Ltd. completed a program of prospecting and rock sampling on the area as the Teeta Creek property. In 2019, Arcwest Exploration Inc. completed a program of geological mapping and rock sampling on the Teeta Creek property.
